Protecting your privacy
Ubiqi Health, Inc., a company registered in Delaware (“We” or “Us”), are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following personal data about you:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.ubiqihealth.com. This includes your information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services on our site.
- Information you provide when using our services which includes mobile and online tools to help manage chronic illnesses (our services). Given the nature of our services, you will be providing information relevant to your personal health which could include such things as your diagnosis, family history, height, weight, medications, biometrics (e.g. blood pressure, blood glucose etc) health status, diet and other clinical data (personal health information).
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- We may also ask you to voluntarily complete surveys that we use for research purposes.
- Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfillment of your orders.
- Details of your visits to our site including such things as, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise along with the resources that you access.
IP address and cookies
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, this may be used for system administration and in some cases to report anonymous, unidentifiable, statistical information to third parties such as advertisers.
For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalized service. They enable us to:
- estimate our audience size and usage pattern
- store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customize our site according to your individual interests
- speed up your searches
- recognize you when you return to our site
You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the settings on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you log on to our site.
Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination inside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfillment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
All information that you provide to us is stored on secure servers and in an encrypted form. Where you have registered to use our services (registered user) and received a password you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data including your personal health information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access. However, despite these security measures, we cannot guarantee complete security; because of the nature of the internet there is always a risk of unauthorized access to personal information by a third party such as a computer hacker. Our security measures include:
- industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for transmitting your personal information,
- limiting access to personal health information on an as-needed basis,
- having a username and password for you to access your personal health information,
- backing up our systems to protect the integrity of your personal information,
- having our servers located in a physical secure location, and
- having the personal health information collected stored with encrypted user identifiers to protect your anonymity
As security is a shared responsibility we ask that you take reasonable precautions to protect whatever device is used to access our website and service including personal computer and mobile devices. You are responsible for the physical security of any device you are using and must change your password and login details if your device has been compromised.
Use made of the information
We use information held about you in the following ways to:
- ensure that the content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer
- provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes
- carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us
- develop, manage, maintain, upgrade, enhance or modify our services
- allow you to participate in interactive features or our service, when you choose to do so
- notify you about changes to our services
- notify you about opportunities to participate in related research
We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods or services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by electronic means if agreed by you.
If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services we are offering. If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.
We do not disclose individually identifiable information to third parties, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, 800 of our women customers are located in Boston). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertiser’s wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.
Use of personal health information
Individual identifiable personal health information will not be shared, sold or disclosed to outside organizations or individuals without your consent. We may use anonymous aggregated personal health information and provide such information to selected third parties and to selected organizations for research purposes. We may also use this blinded information to provide statistical data on health trends or on our user base.
You may choose to grant individuals such as members of your family, friends or healthcare providers access to your personal health information. You will need to authorize the individual to use the services and to have “read-only” access to your personal health information and they will be required to comply with our terms of use and this privacy policy (authorized individual).
We are unable to monitor or control the use of information by your authorized individual and will not be responsible for such uses.
Disclosure of your information
We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
- If Ubiqi Health, Inc. or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
- If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property of Ubiqi Health, Inc., our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
We may also disclose your personal information to our subcontractors or agents where it is required for the provision of services to you. We will not provide such access to your information without first securing written assurance that the subcontractor or agent will: (a) keep the information confidential, (b) use or disclose the information only for the purposes for which it was made available to the subcontractor or as required by law; and (c) notify us of any event affecting the confidentiality of the information.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us not to possess your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
Access to information
You have the right to access information held by us about you. You have the right and the ability to obtain access to, copy, amend or delete your personal health information at your discretion.
Changes to our privacy policy
Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.

Questions, comments, complaints (for example, about nudity, pornography, harassment, unwelcome contact, fraud, etc.) and requests regarding this privacy policy are welcome and should be addressed to info@ubiqihealth.com. We shall acknowledge receipt of a complaint about inappropriate conduct or activity within 24 hours, and within three (3) business days shall provide an explanation as to the steps taken to address the complaint.
